(01) Approach

Our approach

We organise indoor and outdoor spaces so every part of a site earns its place, with a delicate balance between nature, aesthetics and function.

  1. 01

    Sustainability

Planting chosen for each site's soil, rainfall and altitude, from the Kilifi coast to the Limuru highlands. Drainage and irrigation are designed in from the start, not added later.

  2. 02

    Function

Paths that follow how people actually move, shade where it's needed, and layouts that stay easy and affordable to maintain for years.

  3. 03

    Aesthetics

Structure, texture and colour composed with restraint, so a landscape looks right on handover day and better five years on.

(02) Selected work

Offices, homes and public parks across Kenya.

A selection from more than twenty projects, from a 30-acre coastal park to roof gardens in the middle of Nairobi.

(03) Transformations

From bare earth to places people gather.

Drag the handle, or focus it and use the arrow keys, to compare each site before and after our work.

Before: Kilifi park amphitheatre during earthworks: bare terraced soil around the paved stage After: Kilifi park amphitheatre complete: grassed terraces around the brick and coral-stone stage
Amphitheatre, Recreational Park, Kilifi (2022): from graded earth to grassed terraces around a coral-stone stage.
Before: The same UN courtyard during construction: bare red soil and drainage chambers After: Completed courtyard at the UN complex in Nairobi: paved path, lawn and a planted island between new office blocks
Courtyard at the new UN office blocks, Nairobi (2023–25).

Rehabilitation counts too

Not every project starts from bare soil. Our rehabilitation and maintenance contracts bring tired gardens back, as at the KMA residence in 2025.

(04) Services

One practice, from master plan to maintenance.

Our landscape architects, architects and technicians cover the whole life of a landscape, so nothing gets lost between design and site.

  1. 01

    Master Planning

Long-range layouts for estates, campuses and parks: circulation, zoning, phasing, and how the landscape grows with the development.

  2. 02

    Landscape Planning

Concepts, detailed design, working drawings and tender documents, for a single garden or a whole development.

  3. 03

    Landscape Construction

We build what we design, and supervise contractors on larger schemes, so the finished site matches the drawings.

  4. 04

    Landscape Maintenance

Scheduled care and rehabilitation contracts that keep lawns, beds and irrigation in shape long after handover.

  5. 05

    Green Roof Design

Roof gardens and podium planting designed for load, waterproofing and drainage, as at Merchant and Delta Towers.

  6. 06

    Interior Planting

Plants and containers for offices and homes, chosen for the light each space actually gets.

  7. 07

    Recreation Design

Parks, amphitheatres, play areas and hotel grounds that work for events as well as everyday use.

  8. 08

    Environmental & Social Impact Assessments

ESIA studies and landscape & visual impact assessments to support approvals and responsible development.

(05) How we work

A clear path from first visit to a thriving landscape.

  1. 01

    Site visit & brief

We walk the site with you, check soil and drainage, and agree what the space needs to do.

  2. 02

    Concept & detailed design

Sketch concepts first, then working drawings, planting plans and a clear bill of quantities.

  3. 03

    Build & supervision

Our team installs, or supervises your contractor, until the landscape matches the design.

  4. 04

    Care & maintenance

Optional maintenance contracts keep the garden healthy as it matures.

(06) Studio
